Simone Jacobson
Circle Facilitator
Welcome to Love Circles.
My heart opened to creating Love Circles when supporting my children through their growth into adults, witnessing and guiding them through the barriers and blocks in their understanding of relationships. It was humbling and inspiring.
One discovers innate relational wisdom by engaging in respectful and curious conversation; we forget this in daily life and sitting in circle gifts us the chance to practice.
In circles with many ages, the older participants discover how to respectfully impart their knowledge, and become humbled by youth perspective and experience. Youth can share generational nuances, and witness vulnerability at all ages.
Youth learn through our life, we learn through theirs.
No matter what age, we can always reflect on decisions made when we did not know better.
Love Circles are not about drama and detailed narratives, but about equality, practice, slowing down, and allowing safe spaces for clear expression and reflection.
In Love Circles there is nothing to teach, I will guide and support participants to liberate the love within them, as they will do for me, knowing everyone has something to offer, even those who choose to remain silent.
I do not claim to deliver a perfect way to be, but simply want to create a place to feel safe and heard, so you may walk through life more receptive to what is true to you.
Yoga asana, pranayama/breath, sadhana, Buddha Dharma, philosophy, fictional novels, ritual, good nutrition and Ayurvedic healing are integrated into my life. I weave these modalities into life and family through formal study, general reading and lifestyle.
I resonate deeply with my limited knowledge of Carl Jung’s writings, which I have only discovered in recent years.
I am blessed to have discovered the anchoring and expansive benefits of regular spiritual practice early in my life. It is not about doctrine and script, but about slowing down and offering something to yourself, whilst receiving the grace and love of others too.
Humans are simply vessels of love.
I teach Iyengar Yoga through Yogasanam, at Cultivate Health in Leura, and I am currently employed in learning support at a large independent boys’ school in Sydney. I support very vulnerable students through their assessment and exam processes.
I hold a current working with children check, first aid certificate (including CPR, anaphylaxis, asthma), and current police check.
I was born and raised in Sydney, and have travelled throughout India, Africa, China and Nepal.
I have lived in the United Kingdom and currently reside with my family in the Blue Mountains.
Love Circles will be held in spaces that offer warmth, peace, and protection.
